gatsby: hey i just met you
gatsby: and this is crazy

How people can walk out of your life with no logical explanation, and when or if they decide to come back they expect to be instantly forgiven. They want open arms and jokes and smiles and perfection all over again. Let me tell you right now that is unrealistic. If you make a mistake that’s fine, but there’s a little thing known as redemption, and don’t expect to be handed it on a silver platter. I act civil and okay because I’m not going to punish you for the past, but I have a really, really good memory even though I may pretend I don’t. I know people aren’t perfect, but it’s not okay to trample over someone once you’ve gained their trust…and it’s even worse to talk like that after I’ve started smiling again. People like you are the reason people like me have trust issues.
